Roluperidone is an investigational therapy designed to treat negative symptoms of schizophrenia by targeting serotonin, sigma, and α-adrenergic receptors—pathways involved in mood, cognition, sleep, and motivation. Rather than targeting a specific biomarker, we designed roluperidone to address a broad range of patient-observed negative symptoms.
Supported by Phase 2b and Phase 3 clinical data, roluperidone is the only investigational medicine to demonstrate statistically significant improvement in the primary negative symptoms of schizophrenia. In clinical studies, treatment was associated with improvements in functioning and avolition, without worsening positive symptoms or increasing anxiety and depression. As a monotherapy, roluperidone has also shown a low rate of relapse of positive symptoms.
